Grassroot Boxing Pro Fight Night Delhi Results: Akashdeep Gill wins main event

Grassroot Boxing Promotions and Management rolled out Grassroot Boxing Pro Fight Night Delhi on 28 February 2021 from the Delhi Ruler Boxing Academy in Baprola Najafgarh, Delhi. The main event of the show saw Suresh Pasham going up against Akashdeep Gill in a Super Lightweight contest.

It was Akashdeep that came out victorious in the fight as he secured a unanimous decision victory. With the win, Akashdeep improved his professional record to 7-0 and cemented his spot on top of the Super Lightweight rankings in India. As per BoxRec, Akashdeep is currently ranked first in the division for India thanks to his seven-fight winning streak.

Elsewhere, Nitin Nagpal got a split decision victory in the opening bout. Abhishek, Luxmi, and Suraj secured TKO victories when Puran Dev produced a knockout.  Lokesh, Avinash, and Manish also got decision victories on the fight card.

Earlier, Grassroot Boxing Promotions and Management had hosted Pro Fight Night in Mumbai which was headlined by WBC World Youth Title contender Lalrinsanga Tlau who secured a win against Prince Shriwastava. The team will now be shifting their focus to the LPS Fight Night which will happen in Aizawal, Mizoram on 6 March 2021. The event will be headlined by the WBC World Youth Title fight between Lalrinsanga Tlau and Eric Quarm. The card also has names like Asad Asif Khan, Mazhar Hussain, among others.
