Fraggingmonk Promotions postpone WKN India and WBC Muay Thai India Title Fights

The WKN India and WBC Muay Thai India title fights which were scheduled to take place this upcoming weekend in Bangalore have been postponed due to the rising COVID-19 cases in the country.

An announcement regarding the same was made by the Fraggingmonk team today on social media and you can see the statement below.

“Due to the ongoing covid crisis and in light of changing government regulations, we have postponed the event. We are committed to coming back bigger and better to crown the Inaugral @worldkickboxingnetwork and @wbcmuaythaiindia champions,” the statement read.

Earlier, the WKN India Title fights were revealed and it was also noted that Surya Sagar will fight for the inaugural WBC Muay-Thai India title. Unfortunately, the fighters and the fans will have to wait to see the champions being crowned.

Fraggingmonk Fight Night 2 is the latest combat sports event that has been postponed due to the second wave of COVID-19 in India as earlier a string of other events across the nation were also postponed. India reported a total of 261,500 new cases on 17 April 2022 taking the total number of cases to 14,788,109. The country has also reported 177,168 deaths due to the virus with most states tightening the restrictions to curb the second wave.
