Day 2 at the IMMAF World Championships 2021 for Team India is in the books. The day saw Team India picking up its first victory in the tournament as Shabarish managed to outclass Hasan Abdulla of Bahrain via decision. Shabarish had a dominant performance throughout the match and wrote his name into the history books with the win. Ramston Rodrigues made it two wins for the nation in the evening session when he knocked out Lukas Piffko of the Czech Republic in the first round.
Both Shabarish and Ramston progressed into the quarter-finals of their respective brackets with the win and will be in action on Day 3.

Before the win from Shabarish, Day 2 kickstarted for India on a slow note as Ishan Kumar suffered a quick submission defeat against Magomed Sheikhov of Bahrain. Ishan showed heart by not tapping to the submission but eventually passed out which forced the referee to stop the fight. Vijay had a similar outing in his fight against Akhmad Amaev of RMMAU as he also suffered a first-round submission loss.
Former IMMAF Junior World Champion Mahboob Khan delivered a solid performance against Dastan Zhakypbekov of Kazakhstan in his fight. However, Dastan had the better moments in the three-round fight which earned him the decision victory in the scorecard.

Priyanshu Sharma suffered a first-round submission loss to Vladislav Sukalenko of RMMAU at Welterweight as well. Anurag Singh fell short against Kharim El Wehiby of Germany in the Middleweight category as he suffered a third-round TKO loss. You can see the complete results for Team India from Day 3 below.
