Ramston Rodrigues has secured the second win for Team India at the IMMAF World Championship 2021 today. Ramston went up against Lukas Piffko of the Czech Republic in the middleweight category and managed to get a quick knockout victory in the first round itself.

Ramston had earlier made headlines after getting a shoutout from former UFC Champion Conor McGregor who had high praise for the Indian.

Earlier on Day 2, Shabarish had secured the first win for Team India at the tournament when he outclassed Hasan Abdulla of Bahrain in a Strawweight contest.

Prior to the win from Shabarish, Day 2 kickstarted for India on a slow note as Ishan Kumar suffered a quick submission loss against Magomed Sheikhov of Bahrain. Ishan showed heart by not tapping to the submission but eventually passed out which forced the referee to stop the fight. Vijay had a similar outing in his fight against Akhmad Amaev of RMMAU as he also suffered a first-round submission loss.

Former IMMAF Junior World Champion Mahboob Khan delivered a solid performance against Dastan Zhakypbekov of Kazakhstan in his fight. However, Dastan had the better moments in the three-round fight which earned him the decision victory in the scorecard.
