Despite showcasing his grappling prowess in his BRAVE CF debut, David Jacobsson is much more than just a ground fighter. That much was clear at BRAVE CF 40, when he disposed of Corneliu Lascar in less than a minute, using a vicious body kick and a barrage of punches to stop his opponent at 48 seconds of their Welterweight fight.
Now 2-0 under the fastest-growing MMA organization in the world, ‘’Fat Boy Slim’’ has announced himself as a well-rounded fighter, who can grapple his opponents and strike with a lot of damage, as Lascar learned the hard way. He’s looking to continue being busy for the rest of 2020, and has called out Maciej Gierszewski, who’s coming off a vicious win of his own at BRAVE CF 36, in Romania.
‘’Magic Man’’ recovered from his first BRAVE CF loss, back in November of last year to John Brewin, in great style as he bulldozed his way through Bogdan Suru in the first round, in a similar way to Jacobsson’s last win. Regardless of that, David thinks he’s ready for a KO artist such as Maciej, who brutally KO'd Cian Cowley in his promotional debut, after showcasing more of his abilities against Lascar.
‘’This fight I showed a little bit more, my opponent didn’t have a chance to hug me. I’ve been smashing people with leg kicks since my third pro fight, and the gameplan was to keep the fight standing, use my reach and not get taken down. It went pretty good. I’d like to fight again soon against Maciej, Magic, that Polish dude!’’, said Jacobsson, showcasing his lighter side as well.
After four historic events in four weeks in Sweden, BRAVE Combat Federation will return to its home in the Kingdom of Bahrain for three legendary events, showcasing the best fighters from its roster. Jacobsson would not be opposed to facing Gierszewski in the Middle East.
