While many believe that it was an easy match for Khabib, the man himself recently had revealed that Conor was a tough opponent mentally.

“Everybody was tough. For example, with Conor, he was tough too. Like mental game. Because sometimes mental games are tougher than physical. Last fight, it was very tough for me for myself after what happened with my father come back and during the training camp. You know, fight without him, it was very tough. When people watch it is very easy fight, I dominate with everybody but most of them was very tough for me,” Khabib said during an interview last month.

Khabib retired from the sport after his win over Justin Gaethje and had an undefeated record of 29-0 to his name when he retired. Though there has been rumors of him possibility returning for a grappling match, The Russian seems to be focussed on his promotion right now.
