Bellator light heavyweight Luke Trainer, who signed a promotional agreement with the organization earlier this year after winning a one-night four-man tournament at Euro Fight Night: Manchester, will be competing against Alex O’Toole at Bellator Milan on September 26.
Trainer is an undefeated pro and a massive light heavyweight at 6’6” with an 84.5" reach. He is a true “mixed martial artist,” well-rounded in all aspects of MMA.
Remarkably, fighting is only a small part of who Trainer is. He has lived in a foster facility with his parents for most of his life, where he acts as a nanny and helps vulnerable and foster children. Most recently, he visited a refugee camp, where he delivered toys to children of vulnerable families. His goal to be world champion is driven by his desire to have a greater platform to help children in need. In addition, Trainer has been producing a short online cooking show where he brings his comedy to cooking on “Cooking with the Gent.”
“I have been jumping out of my skin during this pandemic. I can't wait for this bout! Thank you, Bellator for the opportunity. I know that the more I compete and win, as I expect to do, the more I will have a platform to advocate for foster children and children in need,” said Trainer.
Trainer is represented by David Fish of Paradigm Sports Management. Paradigm represents a roster of more than 60 clients composed of NFL players, international soccer athletes, and UFC and Bellator fighters – including MMA fighter Conor McGregor, who was a two-division UFC Champion and is among the most well-known athletes in the world.
