BRAVE Combat Federation’s Featherweight division is heating up with several contenders rising up to the challenge of becoming the next king of the weight-class. From young studs such as Mochamed Machaev to more experienced athletes like Mehmosh Raza, all 145-pounders are on alert for a shot at the coveted BRAVE CF Featherweight belt.

Two of them in particular have gone back and forth on social media. Brazil’s Gabriel ‘’Fly’’ and Colombian stand-out Dumar Roa have repeatedly challenged each other to fight before and after their BRAVE CF 45 main event fell down due to Gabriel being diagnosed with covid-19.

Now that the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt is 100% recovered, Dumar wants to finally face his rival - this time with the BRAVE CF title on the line.

‘’Respect to Gabriel ‘’Fly’’, he’s a great opponent and has a great team, but the world title has been my dream since I was a kid, and I am going to knock him out like I did with former Lightweight champ Al-Selwady. I don’t play with my job and I’m going to be the next BRAVE CF world champion, I’m sure. My experience supports my words’’, lashed out ‘’Lion Heart’’, referencing his historic upset of former BRAVE CF world champion Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, the victory that firmly put him on the map.

Gabriel ‘’Fly’’ responded to Dumar’s challenge by showcasing his respect for his rival and his country - both of Gabriel’s BRAVE CF wins have come in Colombian soil. ‘’Fly’’ also recognized the importance of Roa’s KO of Al-Selwady, but claimed he was ready to add to his submission list, since 13 out of his 14 career wins have come by tap-out.

‘’Dumar, the respect is the same and I can’t describe the care I have for Colombia, I know exactly the difficulties that Latin American people go through in order to live out our dreams. Everything is missing but our courage and the will to fight for our dreams. I think it’s only fair that the BRAVE CF world title comes to Latin America. Your win over Al-Selwady was impressive, but I’m ready to add to my submission list. It will be a war, for sure!’’.
