Iraqi Jiu-Jitsu Champion Issa Salem is making his BRAVE CF debut on the biggest fight card dedicated to the Arab fighters in the world, BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night, which goes down on March 18 at the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The 24-year-old made history at the age of 17 as the youngest fighter to become a champion in his country. He has since made the transition to mixed martial arts, and has earned a 5-1 professional mixed martial art record with all of his professional wins being finishes (three submissions and two knockouts). His only loss was a decision against Pavel Burmistrov from Belarus.
One of the first professional mixed martial arts fighters from Iraq, Salem is excited to showcase his talents on a global platform and prove himself in the biggest mixed martial arts promotion to ever come out of the Middle East, while making a statement about the level of athletes in Iraq.
Riding a two-fight win streak, Salem will be facing Maysara Mohamed, an undefeated fighter in both his professional and amateur careers, who is the first ranked Flyweight in Middle East in a Catchweight 59kg bout.
The fight marks an important turning point in both of those fighters' careers, as they look to make the jump to international recognition, by making their debuts in one of the top mixed martial arts promotions in the world. BRAVE CF 48: Arabian Night is bringing the best fighters from across the Middle East and North Africa under one roof for a historical event taking place at one of the most exquisite historical landmarks in Bahrain, Arad Fort.
