BRAVE CF 43: Muhammad Mokaev vs. Jamie Kelly ruled as Fight of the Night

BRAVE Combat Federation’s last Kombat Kingdom event, BRAVE CF 43, produced several amazing performances. However, the youngsters stole the show as Muhammad Mokaev and Jamie Kelly both won a bonus of Fight of the Night, for their 59kg Catchweight bout in the main card.

Mokaev, 20, dominated the contest against Jamie Kelly. Showcasing his high-level striking that goes perfectly with his already known world-class grappling and wrestling, ‘’The Punisher’’ was a step ahead at all times during their fight and his muay thai was really the star of the show.

However, Kelly’s resilience and his constant pressure also deserved to be rewarded. The young man from Manchester, who’s only 21 years of age, had one more pro bout than Mokaev, but his amateur experience was not on the same level, and it showed on fight night. ‘’Machine Gun’’ was able to withstand the heat of Mokaev for two rounds, and fire back at certain points. He only gave in when Muhammad finally took the fight to the ground and locked in a rear-naked choke in the third frame.

‘’The Punisher’’ has now earned two bonuses in two fights under the BRAVE CF banner. Widely regarded as the biggest prospect in mixed martial arts today, Mokaev is looking for fight number three for BRAVE CF before the end of the year, and will hope to add a third bonus as well if he gets the chance to perform again before 2020 comes to an end.
