The BMF title could be back on the line in January as Dana White has confirmed to the reporters that a rematch between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz is being worked on.

Earlier, TMZ had reported about the possibility of a rematch between Masvidal and Diaz in January which was later confirmed by MMA Fighting. Though nothing was concrete, Dana White confirmed last day that the discussions are on-going.

“It’s being worked on. That fight is in the works. He wants to defend it against Diaz. They were the first two to fight for it. They were the guys that fought for it so he wants to put it up versus Nate, again,” Dana White noted.

Dana is also hopeful that the on-going situation would ease after November. Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal last fought back in UFC 244 with the fight going in favor of Masvidal after a doctor’s stoppage. Although the title fight was supposed to be a one-off thing, apparently, UFC clearly has plans to bring it back considering the success that it was.

While Nate Diaz has not fought since the showdown, Jorge Masvidal fought Kamaru Usman for the Welterweight title on short notice and suffered a defeat.

Who do you think will win the rematch if the fight happens? Let us know in the comments below.
