Former ONE Championship double champion Aung La N Sang is looking for a showdown with Japanese MMA Icon Yushin Okami in June. The Burmese Python tweeted out the same last day on Twitter.
“[Yushin Okami] shall we dance? June 3rd?,” Aung La tweeted.
Aung La had expressed his interest in fighting Okami in the past as well but the possibility of the match was ruled out by ONE Championship chairman Chatri Sityodtong. However, Aung La suffered a loss against Vitaly Bigdash in the fight that followed and he is looking to stage a huge return in the ONE Circle. Aung La is 27-13 in his professional MMA career and was the ONE Middleweight and ONE Light Heavyweight champion before he dropped the titles to Reinier De Ridder in back-to-back matches.

Prior to his loss to Bigdash, Aung La knocked out Leandro Ataides to snap his two-fight losing streak. Okami, on the other hand, is coming off a win against Agilan Thani at ONE: Century. He has not fought in almost three years and had lost to James Nakashima and Kiamrian Abbasov in the fights before that.
The 40-year-old holds a professional record of 36-14 to his name and has fought in the UFC, WSOF, Pancrase and Pride FC among others before joining ONE Championship.
