Aung La N Sang is hands down one of the biggest stars in ONE Championship at the moment. The former two-division champion is now all set to make his return at ONE: Full Circle against Vitaly Bigdash and ahead of the fight, he was part of an Instagram AMA session with ONE Championship.

During the session, one of the fans asked Aung La N Sang about why he is not fighting in the UFC and the Burmese Python revealed that he tried out for The Ultimate Fighter on two occasions.

“Didn’t work out. I tried out 2 times for TUF made it to the finals of the interview and then they cut my weight class. I was supposed to be on when Matt Mitrione was on,” Aung L̥a noted in the comment section.

The former champion further went on to add that it is too late for his career to join the UFC but also kept the doors open for a possibility.

“Probably not. It’s too late in my career. Unless they do another trade,” Aung La N Sang added.

ONE Championship and UFC had earlier worked together for a trade which saw Demetrious Johnson joining ONE from UFC when Ben Askren moved to the UFC.

As for Aung La, he will be looking to build on his knockout win over Leandro Ataides and put the trilogy against Bigdash on rest. He had also said that he will not be shaving till he gets his Middleweight title back.
