Lethwei legend Too Too was arrested this past week in Myanmar on suspicion of taking part in demonstrations against the 2021 military coup in Myanmar. This is as per The Irrawaddy.

Too Too is a well-known martial artist in Myanmar, having competed in lethwei since at least 2010. In the World Lethwei Championship promotion, he was a former middleweight champion.

On February 1, 2021, Myanmar's democratically elected National League for Democracy (NLD) party was deposed by the Tatmadaw, Myanmar's military. Since then, there have been nationwide demonstrations.

One of Myanmar's most popular athletes, Aung La N Sang of the ONE Championship, has regularly spoken out against the Tatmadaw. Following Too Too's arrest, Aung La N Sang, who lives in the United States, took to social media to express his support for his fellow fighter.

Aung La N Sang shared a photo of himself posing with Too Too on Instagram stories, accompanied by the praying hands emoji.
