Aung La N Sang will now face Reinier De Ridder at ONE on TNT IV. The announcement was made by ONE championship today. Aung La N Sang was originally scheduled to face his longtime rival, former ONE Middleweight World Champion Vitaly Bigdash, in a trilogy bout on U.S. prime-time television.

Unfortunately, the Russian athlete tested positive for COVID-19 and has been forced to withdraw from the “ONE on TNT IV” main event tilt. Taking his place will be the last man to beat the Myanmar sports icon – undefeated ONE Middleweight World Champion Reinier “The Dutch Knight” De Ridder.

Last October, De Ridder challenged then-reigning two-division ONE World Champion Aung La N Sang for his middleweight belt.

“The Burmese Python” looked sharp on the feet, but the Dutch grappler quickly took him to the canvas and ultimately submitted him in the first round.

De Ridder will now fight the Myanmar sports icon in a highly anticipated rematch on Wednesday night, and this time, he will look to add the light heavyweight strap to his collection and join the exclusive two-division World Champions club.

Meanwhile, Aung La N Sang will attempt to gain some redemption by handing “The Dutch Knight” his first professional loss in mixed martial arts.

Tune in to “ONE on TNT IV” live on Wednesday to see who leaves the Circle with the ONE Light Heavyweight World Title.
