While ONE Heavyweight World Champion Arjan “Singh” Bhullar is known for his dominance inside the Circle, he is also a fan of other sports.

In fact, he congratulated the Canadian Women’s Football Team after they qualified for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The Canadians clinched their berth after a 1-0 win over Panama during the group stage of this year’s CONCACAF Women’s Championship.

In a recent Instagram post, Bhullar expressed happiness for his compatriot’s achievement while wearing the Team Canada jacket he got when he represented the country during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England.

The post’s caption reads:

“Pulled out my old @teamcanada swag for this one. Shoutout @canadasoccer for continuing to kill it! Women’s team just qualified for the World Cup. Men’s team is already going to #Doha after 36 years! Very proud and excited for our squads.

“What’s up, guys? I pulled up my old national team swag for this video. Shout out to Canada soccer. The women’s team just qualified for the World Cup. They’ve joined the men’s team who is already qualified for Doha.

“Very proud, very excited for both squads. We’re hosting the World Cup in Vancouver and Toronto in 2026. So, it’s gonna be a great decade of soccer in the country. I think we’re gonna make some waves internationally. I’m excited to watch it all. Go, Canada, go!”

Aside from supporting his fellow athletes, Bhullar has been preparing for his upcoming unification fight against ONE Interim Heavyweight World Champion Anatoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin.

After trading endless verbal jabs, he confirmed through another Instagram post that the contracts have been signed and that they will settle their score inside the ONE Circle in the near future.

In a separate Instagram post, Bhullar said to Malykhin:

“Dumb dumb just needed me to hold his hand and walk him through what to do. He waits for me when I want him to wait, and he signs when I want him to sign. On fight night, he will fight the fight I want him to as well. @anmalykhin, you are a 5-foot-9 mental midget, and I own you.”

In the meantime, ONE Championship returns to action with ONE 159: De Ridder vs. Bigdash on 22 July at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. In the main event, two-division ONE World Champion Reinier “The Dutch Knight” de Ridder will defend the ONE Middleweight World Championship against Vitaly Bigdash.
