Arjan Bhullar became the first Indian-origin fighter to win a ONE Championship title at ONE: Dangal recently and made headlines with his post-fight callouts.

He had defeated Brandon Vera at the event to get his hands on the ONE Championship Heavyweight title and became only the second fighter in the promotion to hold the title. In his post-fight speech, Arjan went on to call out Kang Ji Won along with AEW and WWE wrestlers. We managed to catch up with Arjan to talk about his win and a string of topics including his post-fight speech, comments from critics, his AEW and WWE favorites, callout from Reinier De Ridder, changing weight classes, and more. You can see the complete video below along with major quotes.

On the callout from Reinier De Ridder

“He’s mistaken, I’m not Aung La. He has not beaten anybody else and I’m not Aung La N Sang.  He is not going to be able to run across the cage and try to take me down with those garbage takedowns that he has. I don’t pay any attention to that,”

Why he called out Kang Ji Won

“They were talking about me and Amirakbari fighting either before or after the Brandon Vera Fight. And Kang Ji Won just put him down in the first round. So I felt he’s got the momentum and that’s the one that makes the most sense,”

Going down to Light Heavyweight Division

“That’s something that’s there, if De Ridder or whoever is the Light Heavyweight champion at that time is still eager, Why have them come up? Why not go down and make more history. No Heavyweight has gone down and done that, Brandon tried and he failed and I’d like to maybe do that,”

On his WWE and AEW callout

“I’m picking a fight with them. That’s the plan. They got a lot of tough guys out there and I think I’m the biggest and baddest and I want to go out there and mix it up with them. Doesn’t matter which company or promotion, I want to take on the industry, and whoever steps up and sits at the table with us, that’s the one we are going after,”

On his favorites and potential fights in Pro-Wrestling

In All Elite, I like Jake Hager, He is a Bellator Fighter. He is supposed to be the tough guy, I’d like to get in there with him.  I like what the Inner Circle and Pinnacle, what they got going on. I like Taz, the FTW belt, I like that. Over in WWE, Jinder [Mahal] is there, Shanky is there, Veer is there, these guys. I like Bobby Lashley, another Bellator Fighter, who wrestled at a high level before that. I like that as well. There are options everywhere,”

On people saying that he does not represent India

“I don’t understand what they are talking about. What does it take to be an Indian? I’m definitely not Chinese. I definitely not anything else. Those people who do that, I think they have issues. I’ve done nothing but hold up the culture since I had a platform even at the Olympics in wrestling and all that. I think I’m doing more than any one of those people who are commenting. So let’s not pay them any attention because they are not going anywhere and no one cares about them anyway,”
