I can knock her out if we fight again: Stamp Fairtex on Angela Lee

Former ONE Championship two-sport champion Stamp Fairtex feels that she can knockout ONE Atomweight champion Angela Lee if the two were to fight again.

Angela Lee and Stamp Fairtex fought back at ONE X a few months back and saw Lee picking up a win in the fight. Lee submitted Stamp in the fight and successfully added another title defense to her resume.

Speaking to Sportskeeda recently, Stamp noted that the result could be different if they fight again.

“I felt really bad [that I didn’t get the knockout]. I knew she was scared of the body shots, so that’s what I went after. After fighting her the first time, I know that if I fought her again, I can knock her out and I can win. Because I know how she fights now, I’ve experienced it,” the Thai superstar noted.

Stamp earned her shot at Angela Lee by winning the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix and will be looking to get another shot at the champion when she returns to the Circle.

She went on to further note that she will have to work on her grappling ahead of her next outing with the Atomweight champion.

“I need to train my Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills more, for sure. And I should be more careful in the next one,” Stamp said.

Interestingly, Stamp recently earned a purple belt in BJJ and is expected to sharpen her skills further before a potential rematch between the two. Both Stamp and Lee have not fought since their fight in March and it would be interesting to see what ONE Championship has to offer for these two.

The promotion is set to make its debut on Prime Video later this year and it would not be a surprise if Stamp and Lee make their respective returns in time for the event.
