Two worlds crossed over the last day as ONE Championship star Yoshihiro Akiyama was seen training with BTS Member Jungkook.

Akiyama made a post on his Instagram where he was seen sparring with the BTS sensation. As we reported earlier, Akiyama had earlier invited Jungkook for a sparring session back in April.

“Please tell him for me that we should have a sparring session next time. ^__^” Akiyama had noted.

Jungkook apparently accepted the invitation and although the complete video of the sparring session is not available, Akiyama has indeed posted a portion where the two hug it out.

Interestingly, Akiyama has Korean ancestors and is known to Korean fans as Choo Sung Hoon. He is of Korean descent and is a fourth-generation Japanese. In fact, he has represented Korea in the Asian Games for Judo, winning a gold medal in 2001. Following this, Akiyama represented Japan in the following year, winning another Gold medal, this time defeating South Korean Ahn Dong-Jin in the finals.

Meanwhile, Jungkook is BTS's youngest member and vocalist, and he was the most-searched male K-Pop Idol in Google in 2019 according to the company's mid-year chart. He also topped the charts in 2020 and was the most searched K-Pop Idol on YouTube in both 2019 and 2020. He is said to be worth more than $20 million and had the most retweeted tweet on Twitter in 2019 and the second most retweeted tweet in 2020, demonstrating his popularity.
