After an incredible performance against Denice Zamboanga at ONE X a few weeks ago, Ham Seo Hee is gearing up for an even more difficult challenge – taking on ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion Angela Lee.

“Hamzzang” could prove to be a significant threat to the longtime queen, who no challenger in the atomweight division has been able to dethrone thus far.

Lee, true to her nickname, was "Unstoppable" in her main event match against Stamp Fairtex at ONE X. She put her ground game to work right away and controlled the Thai star for much of the bout. Eventually, she secured a rear-naked choke in the dying moments of the second round.

Earlier on the 10-year anniversary event card, Ham served up some fiery ground-and-pound to the “Lycan Queen” in a rematch that left no doubt who the victor was.

The win pushed the South Korean veteran to the number two spot in the atomweight rankings, just below Stamp Fairtex, who still claims the top-ranked spot despite the loss to Lee.

Ham is 2-0 in the ONE Circle, with an overall record of 25 wins out of 33 matches in mixed martial arts. More than a third of those wins have come by way of knockout or submission, which illustrates that she’s dangerous both on the feet and on the ground.

Should this fight go down, it’ll be an interesting challenge for Lee, who has a black belt in jiu-jitsu and a storied wrestling background.

Prior to ONE X, “Unstoppable” had mentioned the possibility of fighting either Ham or Zamboanga next, and in her post-fight interview, she gave resounding accolades to Ham. It appears that the world champion would be happy to step into the Circle with her in the future.

For her part, “Hamzzang” responded to the possibility of a world title shot enthusiastically on Instagram:

“Thank you for the kind words. You’re a great champion, and I respect you a lot. See you very soon.”
