Angela Lee confident that she can submit Danielle Kelly in a grappling match

ONE Atomweight champion Angela Lee is confident that she can submit BJJ Phenom Danielle Kelly in a submission grappling match.

Speaking to ONE Championship recently, Lee noted that she would love to have a grappling showdown with Kelly in the promotion.

“I love grappling. I’m a big fan of it. Obviously, you can see it in my fights, that I’m very grappling-based. So, I would love to match up with Kelly. I think it’d be a great fight, and I think a lot of people would like to see that, too,” Lee noted.

Kelly recently signed with ONE Championship and made her debut at ONE X where she earned a performance bonus. She has also expressed his interest in locking horns with Lee. Speaking further, Lee noted that if a match is to happen, it is likely to end in a submission in her favor.

“I see it ending in me submitting her. For me, I mean, I’ve been fighting for a while now. And obviously, you hope for the best-case scenario. But one thing that I trust in myself is I always get the job done – and it doesn’t matter what amount of time it’ll take, but [it will] definitely [happen] before the round ends,” she added.

Lee is currently coming off a win against Stamp Fairtex. The reigning Atomweight champion is yet to get a new opponent although the name of Seo Hee Ham has been thrown around multiple times.

Kelly, on the other hand, has a similar situation as she is yet to compete after making her debut back in March at ONE X.
