Amateur Contender Series is back with another exciting event and this time around, the event will be headlined by the fight between Suraj Jha and Mehbub Rahaman.

Both Rahaman and Suraj had strong outings in the first Amateur Contender Series event and will be looking to follow up on the same when they lock horns inside the cage for the next event.

Suraj, who fights out of the Indian Top Team in Chandigarh, has plenty of experience on his resume to showcase and is tagged as the ‘Indian Khabib’ due to his resemblance to the former UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Rahaman, meanwhile, noted that he will be looking to finish the fight in the ground and even went on to say that Suraj doesn’t deserve to be called ‘The Indian Khabib’ during an interview with Amateur Contender Series.

The event will take place on 3 April 2021 and 4 April 2021 and will be sanctioned by the All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA). Earlier, the team had rolled out the first edition of the Amateur Contender Series from Delhi on 27 February 2021.
