Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley Results: Amanda Serrano gets dominant victory

Amanda Serrano and Yamileth Mercado went head to head in the Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley card today. The fight served as the co-main event for the fight card and was for the WBO, WBC, and IBO Featherweight title which was around the waist of Serrano.

The featherweight champion started off on a strong note and managed to get the better of her Mexican counterpart in the first four rounds despite some resistance. This dominance continued in the fifth round as well even though Mercado tried to stage a comeback. The Puerto Rican continued to dictate the pace after this in the bout when Mercado was fighting off her back foot. Serrano shifted gears in the ninth round and landed some huge shots as well. The story of Serrano hunting down Mercado continued in the final round as well and when it was all over, Serrano had a comfortable decision win and retained her titles with a score of (97-93, 98-92, 99-91). 

Seranno came into the fight with a professional boxing record of 40-1-1 to her name and has held title cross seven weight classes which is a world record. The WBO Female boxer of the year for 2016 and 2018, Puerto Rican has also fought in Mixed Martial Arts where she currently holds an undefeated record of 2-0-1.

Serrano had previously expressed her interest in performing in WWE as well and in 2019, she had revealed that she is training under professional wrestler Jonathan Figueroa, also known as Amazing Red.

Hailing from Mexico, Mercado, meanwhile came into the fight as the WBC Super Bantamweight Champion. She won the title back in 2019 after making his professional boxing debut back in 2014. She had a professional boxing record of 18-2 and was riding high on a six-fight winning streak prior to the showdown with Serrano.

Earlier in the undercard of the fight, Tommy Fury picked up a win against Anthony Taylor via unanimous decision when Charles Conwell defeated Juan Carlos Rubio via a stoppage as well. Montana Love and Daniel Dubois picked up stoppage win in their respective bouts as well. You can see the results ahead of the co-main event below.
