World-renowned coach and martial artist Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has passed away at the age of 57 in Moscow due to various health complications.
He was suffering from health complications stemming from a COVID-19 infection and had suffered a heart attack sometime back. Bypass surgery was subsequently completed to save his life due to which he was placed into a medically-induced coma as well.
Last month, Abdulmanap’s son and UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov had noted that his father’s condition was still serious which proved to be the last major update before the death.
Over the course of his career, Abdulmanap had garnered a reputation for creating world-class fighters and was one of the most respected coaches in the international MMA scene and is also the man behind Khabib who is still undefeated in his professional MMA career.
We at LockerRoom wishes to express our deepest sympathies and extends our condolences to the Nurmagomedov family.
