The future looks bright for the Combat Sports scene in India as a long list of young athletes have taken up combat sports seriously.

We’ve been coming across many inspiring stories of young fighters making headlines and we decided to compile some recent stories to make the following list. So here are 5 Young Indian Combat Athletes that made headlines recently. 


Aaryan Khare

The youngest member of Team Relentless, Aryan Khare represented India at the prestigious BJJ Roots event which was held in Malaysia last month. The seven-year-old Aaryan also came home with the Bronze Medal from the event. Aaryan is the son of Team Relentless Head Coach Jitendra Khare.


Dhwani Advani

The 14-year-old Dhwani, who trains out of Total Combat Fitness, made headlines recently when she competed and won Gold in the Maharashtra Senior Muay-Thai Championships. Dhwani, who trains under veteran Indian coach Balkrishna Shetty was also awarded the best Female Fighter Award in the Senior Championship.


Leela

One of the youngest fighters of Team Genesis, 13-year-old Leela is all set to fight in the co-main event of Mysore Fight Night 2 which will be held in November. Leela is following the footsteps of her mother, Anjali B Gupta, who is also an active name in the Indian MMA scene.


Inaaya Multani and Angel Patil

Inaaya Multani and Angel Patil stole the show at the recently held No-Gi Grappling Open Championship at Fit and Fight Club. Inaaya and Angel, both 10-year-old, put together an amazing grappling contest which received some great response from everyone in attendance.
