UFC Vegas 73 Results: Mackenzie Dern gets dominant win against Angela Hill

UFC Vegas 73 is in the books and saw Mackenzie Dern picking up a dominant win against Angela Hill in the main event.

Mackenzie Dern demonstrated the striking improvements she had been discussing throughout the week when she stepped into the Octagon against Angela Hill.

The highly accomplished Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion showcased her enhanced striking skills by wobbling and dropping Hill in the first round with a series of powerful right hands. Additionally, she landed a knee directly on Hill's chin in the middle of the third round, asserting her dominance throughout each frame, albeit without securing a finish on either occasion.

Despite Hill's remarkable resilience in staying in the fight, Dern maintained her aggression and danger, attacking with the same ferocity in the fifth round as she did in the opening moments.

After a gruelling 25 minutes, the judges deliberated and delivered their scores, unanimously declaring Dern as the victor with scores of 49-43, 49-44, and 49-44. This remarkable performance marked the most comprehensive display of Dern's career and served as a tremendous comeback in the win column, setting a strong tone for her 2023 campaign.
