Bautista submits Oliveira in main event at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas

The first card of 2026, UFC Fight Night: Bautista vs. Oliveira, aired live in Asia on Sunday from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, headlined by a pivotal bantamweight showdown.

In the main event, No. 9-ranked Mario Bautista defended his position with a second-round submission victory over No. 13 Vinicius Oliveira. After a competitive opening round, Bautista secured top control in the second, transitioned to the back and finished the bout with a rear-naked choke at 4:46.

Former title challenger Kyoji Horiguchi earned a unanimous decision over Amir Albazi in the flyweight co-main event, using speed and volume striking across three rounds.

On the prelims, China’s Wang Cong secured a unanimous decision over Eduarda Moura in a 128-pound catchweight contest after both fighters missed weight.

Fight of the Night honors went to Michal Oleksiejczuk vs. Marc-Andre Barriault, while Performance of the Night bonuses were awarded to Bautista and Jakub Wiklacz.
