Israel Adesanya or Khabib Nurmagomedov? Who is better?

The debate about the Greatest of All Time List has been ongoing for some time. One of the names that have prominently featured on the GOAT list is Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The former UFC Lightweight champion had an unblemished record in professional MMA and was one of the most dominant UFC fighters ever. This has earned Khabib a place in the GOAT Conversation but people have been pointing out that he retired too early.

The conversations regarding Khabib’s GOAT status were put back into the picture the last day after UFC 287 when Isreal Adesanya avenged his loss against Alex Pereira in the main event.

“Israel Adesanya is higher on the GOAT list than Khabib,” a user (wonderbreadmma) noted on Twitter.

This was backed up by Sean O’Malley’s coach Tim Welch who recently hailed Adesanya on the recent video posted on the YouTube channel of Sean O Malley.

"That was one of the sickest things I've ever f*cking seen, dude. That has to — for the pound-for-pound list, it's almost like, are you pound-for-pound like a Khabib, who just goes through and doesn't lose, or you get your ass whooped by this dude and then you come back and then you f*ck him up. Like, dude, that is next level,” he said.
