UFC returns with UFC 285 this weekend. The No. 1 heavyweight contender Ciryl Gane and the former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones square off in a Super Fight for the vacant undisputed heavyweight title in the UFC’s return to T-Mobile Arena.

Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane Preview

Jones (26-1, fighting out of Albuquerque, New Mexico) makes his first appearance in the Octagon since February 2020 with the goal of being the best fighter to ever compete. He holds the UFC records for the most championship fight victories (14), the most light heavyweight victories (20), and the longest light heavyweight winning streak. He is widely regarded as the best MMA fighter overall, pound for pound (13). Jones now intends to make a statement against Gane and cement his legacy with a second divisional title.

Gane (11-1, fighting out of Paris, France) was the former interim heavyweight champion of the UFC and plans to make the most of his second chance at the title by putting on a performance to remember. Gane, a talented striker, has dazzled spectators with amazing knockouts of Junior Dos Santos, Derrick Lewis, and Tai Tuivasa. He now wants to become the first guy to defeat Jones, cementing his place in history.

The co-main event will see Valentina Shevchenko returning to defend her UFC Flyweight title against Alexa Grasso. At middleweight, Bo Nickal (3-0, from Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania) faces Wilmington, North Carolina's Jamie Pickett (13-8), in his eagerly awaited UFC debut.

In an exciting welterweight match, Geoff Neal, rated seventh, prevails (15-4, fighting out of Dallas, Texas) 10th conflict Shavkat Rakhmonov (16-0, fighting out of Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan)
