Karatorak vs. Grubb Set for High-Stakes Strawweight Clash at BRAVE CF 97

BRAVE Combat Federation returns to Burgas for BRAVE CF 97, and one of the most closely watched matchups will take place in the women’s Strawweight division, as Germany’s Songül Karatorak takes on newly signed Mim Grubb of the United Kingdom in a bout that could shape the future of the division.

Karatorak, representing Lumpini Gym in Nettetal, Germany, enters the contest as an IMMAF European Champion and World Championship silver medalist, bringing a strong background in Thai boxing and extensive international experience into the BRAVE CF cage.

Grubb, who trains at Lions Den in Exeter, England, makes her promotional debut riding a seven-fight amateur win streak, with six finishes. In 2023, she was crowned Four Nations Champion, and in 2024, she earned recognition as the UK’s top female amateur fighter pound-for-pound.

The matchup presents a compelling clash of styles and momentum. Karatorak is known for her methodical striking and disciplined approach, while Grubb has showcased a high-paced, aggressive offense throughout her amateur career.

As BRAVE CF continues its global expansion through the “Year of the BRAVE” campaign, this Strawweight bout stands out as a pivotal moment for both athletes. For Karatorak, it’s an opportunity to reaffirm her position among Europe’s elite. For Grubb, it marks the beginning of her professional journey on the international stage.

BRAVE CF 97 will take place later this year in Burgas, continuing the promotion’s presence in Europe following a successful debut in Bulgaria at BRAVE CF 86.
