In a recent interview with "Submission Radio," WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins stirred excitement among fans as he discussed the possibility of former UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor venturing into the world of professional wrestling.
Rollins, known for his candid insights, expressed openness to McGregor joining WWE but outlined specific conditions for such a transition. Drawing parallels to Roman Reigns' part-time contract, Rollins emphasized that McGregor would need to adopt a similar schedule, appearing for matches at intervals of approximately six months.
"Maybe. Never say never, but he would have to be on a Roman Reigns-like schedule," Rollins stated, citing Reigns' ongoing contractual arrangement with WWE. "He'd be showing up every 6 months to have a match. He'd be on that Logan Paul contract."
Rollins further acknowledged the challenges associated with transitioning from MMA to professional wrestling, noting the distinct demands of each sport. While expressing WWE's enthusiasm for McGregor's potential involvement, Rollins underscored the difficulty of such a crossover.
"It's tough, dude. It is a difficult transition to make. So if he would want to give it a shot, we'd love to have him, but I don't know, man. I couldn't jump into their world and do what they do, so I would not expect them to be able to do the same with us," Rollins remarked.
McGregor, who has been inactive in MMA since July 2021, recently garnered attention during an episode of "WWE Raw." UFC fighter Michael Chandler called out McGregor, urging him to return to the Octagon for unfinished business.
