Ronin Fighting Championship 2 is set to create history as Bhavnagar, Gujarat prepares to host its first-ever mixed martial arts fight night from May 6 to May 9, 2026. The event will bring together rising MMA talents from across India while also highlighting the growing grassroots combat sports scene in the country.
The main event will feature a clash between Nagaland’s Arsenba Ozukum and Uttarakhand’s Ayush Chauhan in what promises to be an exciting showdown between two emerging flyweight fighters. Ozukum represents The Combat Academy Nagaland, while Chauhan trains out of House of Mumbai. The matchup has already generated interest among Indian MMA fans due to the regional rivalry angle between Nagaland and Uttarakhand.
Originally, the event was expected to be headlined by India’s Priya Sharma against Brazil’s Yuly Yves in an international contest. However, after changes to the lineup, Ozukum vs. Chauhan was elevated to the main event slot.
Another major attraction on the card is the India vs Nepal showdown between India’s Aarti Khatri and Nepal’s Sushmita Thapa in a kickboxing contest. The matchup adds an international flavor to the event and is expected to draw significant interest from combat sports fans from both countries. Cross-border rivalries between Indian and Nepali fighters have continued to grow in recent years, especially in regional MMA and striking promotions.
Apart from the fights, Ronin FC 2 also features an experienced operational and commentary team working behind the scenes to ensure the smooth execution of the historic event. Arun Kumar Krishnan will serve as the Executive Director, while Gaganpal Singh takes charge as Operations Director. The event’s matchmaking duties are handled by Prem Thakur, with Abdul Muneer serving as Event Commissioner. Popular ring announcer King James will handle in-cage announcements, while Rahul Chhabra and Rohan join the commentary team. Chaitanya Gavali will be part of the event as Head Coach, alongside referees Rajkumar Mehariya and guest referee Andrew Canday.
The event will be streamed live on the LockerRoom India YouTube channel and leading upto the Fight night, the Fight Forge Contender Series will happen which will feature Amateur MMA talent.
