Road to UFC 2 Semi-Finals to take place in Singapore in August

The excitement continues with the ROAD TO UFC Season 2 semifinals taking place on Sunday, August 27. MMA enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness Asia's top prospects compete for coveted UFC contracts in an unprecedented "win and advance" tournament. The ROAD TO UFC Season 2 Semifinals will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, kicking off at 4 p.m. SGT.

Tickets for the ROAD TO UFC Season 2 semifinals will be available for purchase starting Wednesday, June 28 at 12 p.m. SGT. Limited to eight (8) per person, they can be obtained through https://ticketmaster.sg/activity/detail/23_roadtoufc.

Fight Club members will enjoy early access to tickets starting Sunday, June 25 at 12 p.m. SGT, while priority access will be granted to UFC newsletter subscribers and those who have registered their interest on June 26 at 12 p.m. SGT. Fans can still register their interest by subscribing to the UFC newsletter at www.ufc.com/singapore.

ROAD TO UFC Season 2 Semifinals Fight Card

The ROAD TO UFC Season 2 commenced with the opening round on May 27 and 28 at the UFC Performance Institute Shanghai. Eight MMA athletes competed in each of the four men's weight classes: flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, and lightweight. Here are the participants who advanced to the semifinals:

Flyweight (>56.7kg)

  • Rei Tsuruya (Japan) vs Mark Climaco (Philippines)
  • Jiniushiyue (China) vs Seung Guk Choi (South Korea)

Bantamweight (>61.2kg)

  • Xiao Long (China) vs Shuya Kamikubo (Japan)
  • Daermisi Zhawupasi (China) vs Chang Ho Lee (South Korea)

Featherweight (>65.8kg)

  • Yizha (China) vs Sang Won Kim (South Korea)
  • Koya Kanda (Japan) vs Li Kaiwen (China)

Lightweight (>70.3kg)

  • Rongzhu (China) vs Sangwook Kim (South Korea)
  • Shin Haraguchi (Japan) vs Bahatebole Batebolati (China)

Non-tournament, flyweight

  • Peter Danesoe (Thailand) vs Nyamjargal Tumendemberel (Mongolia)
