I want to fight Shevchenko and win the title: Rin Nakai calls for UFC return

Former UFC fighter Rin Nakai is hoping to be back in the UFC. The Japanese MMA fighter, who is currently, 35-years-old has been calling for a return to the UFC for some time now. Currently 25-2 in her professional MMA career, Nakai had competed in the UFC back in 2014 and suffered losses to Leslie Smith and Miesha Tate.

She has not lost a fight since and is on an impressive 9-fight winning streak and is undefeated at Flyweight, which was a division that was not there in the UFC when Nakai was in the UFC.

She noted on her Twitter page, that she wants to have a showdown with Valentina Shevchenko and win the UFC Flyweight title.

“I'm flyweight undefeated. Currently on a nine-game winning streak. Win all matches by KO or submission with100%finish. I have the ability to enter the UFC. I want to fight Shevchenko. Become a UFC ChampionmI'm the strongest in the world send me toUFC,” she noted in one of her tweets.

In a separate tweet, Nakai said that she would have been in the UFC if it was not for the pandemic. The Japanese star also pointed out that there are fighters who are older than her in the UFC.

“There are a lot of player older than me in UFC. Even if I used to be accused of losing two times upper weight division. Nunes, Shevchenko. There is no one who has never lost,” she added in another tweet.

After her departure from the UFC, Nakai has been competing in Deep Jewels, RIZIN and Pancrase. She has a 100% finish rate in her last nine fights and has a finish rate of 76% in her entire professional MMA career. Interestingly, both her losses in the UFC came via decisions as well.
