Zegler is poised to take the lead in the live-action reinterpretation of the Disney timeless tale, a rendition that has come under scrutiny for its perceived erosion of Walt Disney's legacy. In a collection of clips, Shields brands Zegler as 'intolerable,' as he highlights instances where the actress delves into the distinctions between her rendition and the traditional portrayal.

Zegler, who admits to being unnerved by the original Disney rendition, is determined to diverge from the conventional narrative of rescue by a prince. Her character in the remake aspires to leadership rather than the conventional theme of romantic love. This shift has sparked extensive debate about the direction the story is taking.

Born on May 3, 2001, Rachel Anne Zegler is an accomplished American actress and singer. Her introduction to the limelight occurred through her cinematic debut, portraying the character of María in Steven Spielberg's rendition of West Side Story (2021).

This performance earned her the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical. Following this success, Zegler further showcased her talent by taking on the role of Anthea in the superhero movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
