The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced a groundbreaking strategic partnership with Francis Ngannou. Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion and the first African heavyweight world champion in history, will exclusively compete in MMA for PFL's new PPV Super Fight Division.

The Super Fight Division aims to establish true economic partnerships with top fighters like Ngannou, offering them 50% of the revenue from the PPV fights. Ngannou is set to make his PFL PPV Super Fight debut in mid-2024 against a prominent global MMA star.

In addition to his in-cage endeavours, Ngannou will assume a leadership role as a member of the PFL Global Advisory Board, becoming the first active fighter to represent the interests of fellow athletes. The board's purpose is to collaborate closely with the sport's greatest minds and athletes to uphold PFL's fighters-first mission and develop future global champions.

Expanding its international reach, PFL will launch PFL Africa, with Ngannou serving as its Chairman and equity owner. PFL Africa will showcase elite fighters from African countries, offering them an opportunity to compete on a global stage and providing a pathway to the PFL Global season. Live primetime events in key African countries will meet the demand for consistent and premium MMA content.

The strategic partnership between PFL and Ngannou marks the most valuable MMA deal for a single fighter and represents a significant milestone in PFL's mission to become a co-leader in MMA.

"We're proud to announce our groundbreaking strategic partnership with Francis Ngannou, the greatest heavyweight MMA fighter in the world," stated PFL CEO Peter Murray. "Ngannou will anchor the PFL's star-studded PPV Super Fight Division, serve on PFL's Global Athlete Advisory Board, and be Chairman and an equity owner in PFL Africa."

The announcement has been met with enthusiasm by industry professionals. Marquel Martin, President and Co-Founder of 3POINT0 Labs Inc., emphasized Ngannou's perseverance and commended PFL for setting new standards. Andrew Cutrow, Chief Business Officer and Co-Founder of 3POINT0 Labs, expressed pride in working with Ngannou and PFL to achieve their shared goals.
