History was written at Ariake Arena on 29 April as ONE SAMURAI 1 gave Tokyo a night it will never forget. Four world titles were contested, new champions were crowned, and Takeru "Natural Born Krusher" Segawa signed off on a legendary career by claiming the ONE Interim Flyweight Kickboxing World Championship against the sport's most feared warrior.
Rodtang came to destroy. He controlled the first round with calculating left hooks, and for a moment it looked like business as usual for "The Iron Man." Then Takeru detonated two knockdowns in round two — and the fight changed completely. A brutal back-and-forth middle section gave way to two more Takeru knockdowns in round five, the four-knockdown rule ending it at 2:22. Cue the tears. Cue the retirement speech.
Avazbek "Ninzya" Kholmirzaev is the new ONE Flyweight MMA World Champion — and the manner of his victory was breathtaking. He grounded defending champion Yuya "Little Piranha" Wakamatsu repeatedly with judo throws and clinch dominance before a spinning back elbow in the final seconds of round two turned the lights out completely.
Nadaka Yoshinari's record now reads 41 consecutive wins — and this one was earned the hard way. Songchainoi Kiatsongrit brought relentless pressure and inflicted real damage across five rounds, genuinely threatening the ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion for the first time in ONE Championship. Nadaka's elusiveness, as ever, proved just enough.
Jonathan "The General" Haggerty made a difficult job look routine. Yuki Yoza found fleeting moments of success with calf kicks, but Haggerty's knees, combinations, and masterful footwork dismantled every offensive pattern the Japanese challenger offered. The ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Title stays in British hands.
