ONE on Prime Video 4 Results: Christian Lee captures Welterweight title belt

The Singapore Indoor Stadium welcomed back ONE Championship (ONE) for ONE on Prime Video 4: Abbasov vs. Lee. Two thrilling World Title fights were the highlight of the event, which also included a number of other thrilling contests.

The World Champions received the prestigious ONE World Title belt from ONE Championship, which presented it in collaboration with the top premium lifestyle and luxury performance brand TUMI.

Christian Lee becomes a two-division champion

In the main event, Christian Lee, the ONE Lightweight World Champion, added the ONE Welterweight World Title to his collection by stopping Kiamrian Abbasov in round four after an electrifying comeback victory.

Abbasov lost the welterweight championship on the scale before the fight because he was unable to pass weight and hydration tests. Only Lee had a chance to take home the World Title, and he accomplished so with a strong performance of grappling and striking.

Beginning the opening round with a massive aggressive assault, Abbasov struck Lee repeatedly, leaving the 24-year-old reeling. The Singaporean-American came back strong in round two after making it through the first, swarming Abbasov with a barrage of combinations. Lee also slipped in a few strong takedowns to cause some harm on the ground.

The action ramped up again in the fourth round as Lee unleashed a barrage of power punches following a third round in which both fighters acted quite casually. The Kyrgyz warrior attempted to fight back, but he stung him with a series of right elbows. Lee began applying additional ground-and-pound as Abbasov was on his back, which prompted referee Herb Dean to suspend the fight. Lee received a US$50,000 bonus in addition to the ONE Welterweight World Title.
