ONE Friday Fights 18: Manthan Rane suffers decision loss against Andrey Chelbaev

Indian MMA fighter Manthan Rane suffered a hard-fought decision loss against Andrey Chelbaev at ONE Friday Fights 18.

Andrey Chelbaev successfully passed his inaugural challenge in the ONE Championship spotlight, delivering a solid performance against Manthan Rane in a thrilling flyweight MMA bout. Relying on his exceptional boxing skills, the undefeated Russian showcased his confidence as he advanced with well-timed combinations throughout the match. Manthan staged an impressive comeback after a slow start in the first round but the performance was not enough to win over the judges on the scorecard.

In a standout moment, Chelbaev landed a powerful left hook and a perfectly executed right hand, connecting squarely on Rane's jaw. Following three rounds of intense action, the Tiger Muay Thai athlete emerged as the victor, securing a unanimous decision and extending his unblemished MMA record to 4-0.

This is the first loss in the professional MMA career of Manthan Rane and he will be looking to bounce back when he steps into the ONE Championship platform next time.
