ONE Friday Fights 2: Full Fight Card announced for the event

Following the frenzy that was ONE Championship’s inaugural ‘Friday Fights’ event last week, the organization is set to return with its sequel on 27 January.

ONE Friday Fights 2 takes place at the prestigious Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, as the highly-anticipated bantamweight Muay Thai rematch between Sangmanee PK.Saenchai and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek. Uthai takes center stage.

The two striking standouts first locked horns in August 2020, colliding in the semi-finals of ONE’s Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament. Despite the predictions of a slugfest, Kulabdam shocked the world when he stopped “The Million Dollar Baby” in the opening fragments of the first frame.

What makes this rematch that much more anticipated is how highly accoladed the two individuals are. Both Thais have held Lumpinee Stadium World Titles and earned the Sports Writers of Thailand Fighter of the Year award.

Given the history between the two, “Left Meteorite” will look to topple his nemesis once again, while Sangmanee will be hungry to avenge the shock defeat in a bout nearly three years in the making.

Elsewhere on the card features more of Bangkok’s PK.Saenchai standouts, with four more of the gym’s products set to scrap.

The co-main event will see strawweight action between Chalamkhao PK.Saenchai and Pettong Kiatsongrit, but not before Avatar PK.Saenchai meets Mohammed Siasarani in the featherweight division.

Also joining the combative ranks is former ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Pongsiri PK.Saenchai, who moves down one division to meet Ferzan Cicek in bantamweight action.

In another affair, Thai stars Yoddoi Kaewsamrit and Songchainoi Kiatsongrit will scrap in bantamweight action, as well as decorated Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet Or. Pitisak who battles the durable Silviu Vitez.

Despite a litany of Muay Thai outings dominating the card, the event will also play host to two MMA bouts, as the unblemished Harry Grech faces Iranian prospect Arash Mardani in the middleweight division and Jakub Wayman and British banger Riccardo Cantindig-Stagg opening the anticipated night of fights.
