At the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, ONE Championship (ONE) launched its historic series of weekly events with ONE Friday Fights 1, which featured a fight for the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title.

The ONE Championship gave the World Champion the coveted ONE World Title belt in collaboration with the top premium lifestyle and luxury performance brand TUMI.

Nong-O Gaiyanghadao, the current ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, won the main event by stunning former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi Ramazanov in the third round.

Ramazanov started off strong in the first round, using quick and potent combinations to put Nong-O on the back foot. The legendary Thai fighter chose his targets as he prepared to attack the legs with low, chopping kicks. Ramazanov continued to exploit his length against Nong-O in the second round, tagging the World Champion-in-Reign with incisive push kicks and a barrage of hooks.

In the third round, Nong-O established a rhythm and applied pressure to Ramazanov with a series of mid-range punches. When Nong-O noticed that the Russian was losing strength, he went on the attack and punished his opponent with savage blows to the head and torso. Ramazanov was knocked to the mat by a powerful left hook to the liver and was unable to respond to the referee's 10-count.

With the victory, Nong-O maintained his perfect record in the ONE Championship and earned a US$50,000 prize for his efforts.

In the co-main event, former ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Prajanchai PK.Saenchai defeated Kompetch Sitsarawatsuer via knockout in the second round. In the opening frame, Kompetch picked up the tempo and put his Thai opponent on the back foot.

But in the second session, Prajanchai really got going, pelting his opponent with scorching combinations on the inside. Kompetch was knocked down with a straight right hand, but he managed to avoid the referee's count. Both guys had their moments in the third round of what was undoubtedly an entertaining contest. In the end, Prajanchai won the fight by unanimous decision after receiving scores from all three judges.

Performance bonus winners: Nong-O Gaiyanghadao (US$50,000), Seksan Or. Kwanmuang (US$50,000), Muangthai PK.Saenchai (US$10,000)
