The lightweight MMA division has a blockbuster main event. ONE Championship has confirmed that Brazil's Lucas Gabriel and Turkey's Alibeg Rasulov will headline ONE Fight Night 49 on Saturday, November 7, in a collision between two fighters with their eyes firmly fixed on the lightweight throne.
Gabriel is the story of the year in the lightweight division. The 26-year-old Phuket Fight Club fighter has not lost a single fight inside the ONE ring, carrying a spotless 5-0 ONE record and a nine-fight winning streak into the main event.
His promotional journey began on the ONE Friday Fights circuit in 2023, where three back-to-back victories earned him a promotion to the U.S. primetime stage. He marked that debut in the most memorable fashion, proposing to his longtime girlfriend after the contest.
The romance did not stop there. In his most recent outing, the Brazilian BJJ black belt claimed a razor-close split decision over former ONE Lightweight MMA World Champion Ok Rae Yoon, the kind of result that puts a fighter's name directly into the championship conversation.
Rasulov is coming for that conversation too, and he has been waiting longer than most. The 33-year-old Turkish wrestler announced his arrival in ONE Championship by defeating the very same Ok via unanimous decision on debut, earning himself a shot at Christian Lee's ONE Lightweight MMA World Championship.
That first title fight ended in a no contest after an accidental eye poke in 2024, denying Rasulov the chance to settle it properly. When the rematch came last year, Lee stopped him in the second round via TKO.
The Turkish wrestler has been carrying that result ever since, and a dominant performance over an unbeaten contender like Gabriel is the clearest possible path back to a trilogy fight with the champion.
Gabriel's unbeaten ONE record against Rasulov's title ambitions. November 7 is where one man's journey takes a significant step forward and another's hits a wall.
