Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium erupted on Friday, 23 January, as Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon delivered a statement knockout over Abdulla Dayakaev at ONE Fight Night 39 on Prime Video, positioning himself for a bantamweight Muay Thai World Title shot against divisional king Nabil Anane.
The highly anticipated main event lived up to expectations. Rambolek and Dayakaev engaged in a tactical chess match through the opening frame, with the 22-year-old Thai striker using left kicks to neutralise "Smash Boy's" explosive left hands whilst the Russian countered with body punches designed to sap his opponent's energy and movement.
Everything changed in round two when Dayakaev overcommitted searching for the knockout blow. Rambolek read the punch perfectly, slipping underneath before unleashing a vicious left hook to the body.
The combination continued flowing as the Superbon Training Camp representative followed with a right hook to the body and left hook upstairs that stunned the Russian. When Dayakaev desperately threw a counter right, Rambolek's thunderous right hook crashed into his chin and sent him collapsing to the canvas at 2:41, securing the spectacular finish.
The victory extended Rambolek's winning streak to five consecutive performances whilst improving his all-striking record to 67-14 and earning a US$50,000 performance bonus that validated his arrival among the division's elite contenders.
Russia’s Asadula Imangazaliev continued his perfect ascent through the flyweight Muay Thai ranks, stopping two-time Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion Kongthoranee Sor Sommai via brutal body punches at 1:02 of round two.
The 22-year-old "Dagestan Ninja" dominated with his height and reach advantages, throwing question mark kicks in the opening frame that kept the experienced Thai veteran at bay and unable to unleash his trademark left hand.
Round two saw Imangazaliev increase aggression with high kicks as Kongthoranee pressed forward desperately. A push kick backed the Thai into the ropes for an eight-count, and when action resumed, the Team Mehdi Zatout star attacked the body ruthlessly until the referee stopped the contest, improving his unblemished record to 11-0 and collecting a US$50,000 performance bonus.
