In his rematch with ONE Lightweight World Champion Ok Rae Yoon, former titleholder Christian Lee wants to take matters into his own hands.
“The Warrior” will have an opportunity to regain the ONE World Title he once possessed in his rematch with Ok at ONE 160 on 26 August at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
In an Instagram post, Lee elaborated on three points that made him think he won their first encounter.
“The most important scoring category in ONE is the near finish. Throughout the fight, I dropped him twice and had two submission attempts while my opponent had none,” Lee said.
“The second most important is damage. If you look at both of our faces, you can see who did more damage and landed the more significant blows. The third most important category is striking and ground control. I out-struck my opponent, controlled him on the cage and on the ground,” he added.
But though he lost that fight via unanimous decision, Lee still gave props to Ok for withstanding everything he threw at the South Korean.
“He has earned my respect and has shown how resilient he is by surviving all five rounds,” Lee added.
Though he will maintain his respect for Ok in their second outing, Lee wants a resounding victory over the current ONE World Champion. And he will take advantage of every opportunity to land strikes or attack with submissions.
Aside from Ok vs. Lee II, ONE Featherweight World Champion Thanh Le will defend his crown against top-ranked contender Tang Kai. The explosive showdown will likely end early because of both men’s punching power.
