This weekend at BRAVE CF 60, Nkosi Ndebele hopes to live up to his first name by establishing his rule over the BRAVE CF Bantamweight kingdom. Nkosi, which translates to "King" in isiZulu, the mother tongue of the South African, provides Ndebele with the chance to seize the initiative and declare his intentions in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Saturday, July 30th, when he faces Colombian boxer, Eduardo Mora.
But he also wants to argue that he was given the moniker "The Future" for a good cause. And he's prepared to demonstrate that his moment at bantamweight has come.
‘’You know, this division is full of very good fighters, but I already feel like the champion. I am eager to prove it,” he said.
Ndebele has worked for BRAVE Combat Federation since the day he turned professional, amassing a remarkable four victories and just one defeat, which occurred in the Featherweight class back in 2019. He has three straight victories and is still unbeaten at bantamweight.
Ndebele is well-known in his country's region since he established a strong reputation for himself while still an amateur. After winning the 2017 IMMAF (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) African Gold Championship and gaining a tonne of experience at the Worlds, he was recognised as the top amateur athlete in Africa. He also held the title of amateur two-division champion, but his accomplishments don't end there.
He is now prepared to fulfil that promise on the big stage, vying for the top bantamweight spot in Africa as well as the bragging rights to the BRAVE CF Bantamweight championship!
Ndebele is the more seasoned BRAVE CF campaigner going into the battle with Mora; the Colombian has only fought once so far, and "The Future" is ready to prove that his time has come.
‘’It’s funny when some people say my nickname is king, because Nkosi is already king in my language. I am The Future, that is my nickname. And at BRAVE CF 60, I will show that The Future is now’’.
BRAVE CF 60 takes place at the promotion’s headquarters in the Kingdom of Bahrain this Saturday, July 30th. For more details, visit www.bravecf.com
