Khabib Nurmagomedov feels that the time for Nate Diaz, Tony Ferguson, Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier is up.
In the recent interview posted by Red Corner MMA, the former UFC champion opened up about the fighters that were in the UFC during his prime. He noted that the likes of Nate Diaz and Tony Ferguson do not have championship ambitions and that they are past their prime.
He also had a similar thought about the likes of Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier. You can see what Khabib said below.
“Let me answer this question straight away. Any fighter who fought when I fought in the UFC. When I was in my prime, say from 2015 to 2020. Neither of them is still up there on top. My time is over too, same for them. They still keep fighting I believe they just fight for money. Neither Diaz nor Ferguson has any champion ambition. You are all experts, You know none of them will ever be champion of the UFC. Same for Conor and Poirier, their time is over. Look at Kamaru, he started shining a bit later but still with every single title defence he went slightly down. Time is passing by, our human body is running out of resources. So no matter what, a human being can’t stay in top-notch shape for a very long time,” he said.

Nate Diaz is set to fight Khamzat Chimaev next in the main event of UFC 279 and Tony Ferguson is expected to be on the card as well. The fight is expected to be the last fight for Nate Diaz on the UFC roster as well.
As for Conor McGregor, he is expected to make his return in 2023 and the same was confirmed by his manager recently.
