Former ONE World Champion Nabil Anane Eyes Path Back To Bantamweight Throne

Nabil Anane's path back to the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title begins with one crucial test.

The 22-year-old Algerian-Thai star has lived through one of the most dramatic rises and falls. In 2025, Anane scaled the heights of the bantamweight Muay Thai division in extraordinary fashion, demolishing Nico Carrillo to claim the ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship before avenging his ONE debut loss to Superlek and being elevated to undisputed champion.

But in March this year, Rambolek dethroned him, and the belt that Anane had worked so hard to claim slipped from his grasp. The motivation to reclaim it is burning as fiercely as ever.

"[Winning is] very important because Boss Chatri [Sityodtong] has already said that whoever wins will face Rambolek. It's very important for me to go back and get what's mine," he said.

Standing between Anane and that rematch opportunity is Suakim PongSuphan PK, a 30-year-old Thai fighter riding a seven-fight win streak and carrying all the tools to test the towering former champion.

At 6-feet-4, Anane presents a physical puzzle that has consistently given opponents problems, and the Algerian-Thai is confident that his dimensions alone create difficulties that few fighters in the division can solve.

"Because of my height, there are very few things my opponents can actually do to me. They are the ones who have to adjust their style to fight me because there are only a few ways to beat me," he explained.

Beyond the physical advantages, Anane arrives at The Inner Circle 25 with a refined and focused game plan built on the lessons of his most recent campaign.

"I just need to defend well. We've been preparing this since my last fight. I'm focused on just getting better," he added.
