Nabil Anane Crowned Undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion

History was made at ONE Friday Fights 114 when the promotion officially elevated Nabil Anane to undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion during the live broadcast.

The monumental announcement came during a special moment for the Anane family, as Nabil was interviewed after watching his 17-year-old brother Yonis make his ONE debut against Liu Junchao, securing a unanimous decision victory.

During the post-fight interview, ONE Commentator Mitch Chilson delivered the news that elevated the 21-year-old Algerian-Thai star to the pinnacle of the bantamweight Muay Thai division.

Anane's path to undisputed champion status has been remarkable yet unconventional.

The towering 6-foot-4 fighter originally captured the ONE Interim Bantamweight Muay Thai World Championship after crushing Nico Carrillo at ONE 170 in January 2025.

He was subsequently scheduled to unify the straps with then-reigning champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 172 in March.

However, the unification bout took an unexpected turn when Superlek failed to make weight for the matchup and was stripped of his World Title. Anane went on to defeat Superlek by unanimous decision.

This development paved the way for Anane's elevation to undisputed champion, cementing his position atop the competitive bantamweight division.

The young champion's journey to this moment has been nothing short of extraordinary. Making his ONE debut at just 19 years old, Anane quickly established himself among the Muay Thai elite with his unique combination of towering height and devastating power.

His record is littered with knockout victories, particularly through his signature devastating knees and terrorising long punches.

Training under retired ONE star Mehdi Zatout at Venum Training Camp, Anane has already made history multiple times. He became the youngest-ever WBC Muay Thai World Champion at just 17 years old in 2022, showcasing his prodigious talent on the ultra-competitive Bangkok stadium circuit.

Now, as the undisputed ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, Anane stands as the divisional king, ready to defend his crown against the world's best bantamweight Muay Thai fighters.
