An exciting night of mixed martial arts and Muay Thai action unfolded at Spartans Fight Night, hosted by coach Joys Varghese at Spartans Gym in Kakkanad, Kerala. The event brought together rising talents from across India and was live streamed on the LockerRoom India YouTube channel.
The fight card featured multiple interstate matchups between athletes from Kerala, Mizoram, Manipur, West Bengal, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, highlighting the growing grassroots combat sports scene in India.
In the MMA main event, Kerala’s Kesavan delivered a dominant performance against Mizoram’s Vanlaldingngheta. Kesavan secured a first-round rear-naked choke submission victory to close the night in emphatic fashion.
The co-main event saw Mizoram’s Lalramhlimpui edge out Kerala’s Anuja via split decision after a closely contested battle. Lalramhlimpui also competed earlier on the card and earned a unanimous decision win against Kerala’s Hameem, making it a memorable double-win night for the Mizoram athlete.
In the Muay Thai main event, Israel of Mizoram defeated Haryana’s Anurag with a third-round stoppage victory in an entertaining striking contest.
Elsewhere on the card, Kerala’s Krishnendu earned a TKO victory over Jenista from Manipur, while Jishnu defeated Robert via rear-naked choke submission in another Kerala vs Manipur contest. West Bengal’s Fahad also secured a win against Kerala’s Anandhu after the latter was unable to continue.
