The MMAAK Muay Thai Challenge is all set to happen on 19 February 2023 in Calicut. The event will feature athletes competing across five weight classes. The knockout tournament will crown a winner in each weight class and the winner and runner ups will be given a cash prize. The event is happening at the Government College of Physical Education.
The weigh-ins, rules briefing, and the draw for the tournament happened on 18 February 2023 and this will now be followed up by the fights on 19 February. The fights are scheduled to start at 5:00 PM Indian Standard Time and will be streamed live on the LockerRoom India YouTube Channel.
Ranjith Kunnumal, who is spearheading the event, noted that MMAAK Fight Series is hoping to provide a platform for athletes from different combat sports backgrounds. He also noted in an exclusive that the MMAAK Fight Series event will be launched in June and is expected to hold multiple events in Kerala in 2023 before hosting events across India.
